21 weeks

a couple of 21 week shots to mark the occasion :)

ry and i had an awesome weekend.  here's ryan with stomper at the a's game beerfest and lou helping nic golf.

here i am!

wow is lou flexible! baby is doing a somersault, you can see that the foot is touching the top of the head! the legs run along the top of the image, and the right arm and hand are that white right angle in the bottom right.
you can see lou's ear, neck and shoulders. the heart is the black thing with the white line running through it. 148 bpm.
isn't the nose cute? you can make out the lips as well. the white in the image is bone, so you can see the skull, nasal bone and jaw.
it was very cool to see the baby kicking and feel it at the same time! ryan almost looked when the technician was determining the baby's sex... but sorry! we didn't find out :)

i could literally sleep in those jeans they are so comfortable.

zihuat also quite enjoyed this shipment.  and look, no maternity butt!  hahahahhahahaha

that's jackson, the dog we are taking care of this weekend.  he didn't want to feel left out either :)

5 month appt

ryan and i had the 5 month prenatal appointment today (20 weeks on wednesday of next week). we heard the baby's heartbeat again- beautiful and strong!  lou even kicked the machine.  i am up 15 lbs so far, doc said lay off the croissants :) hahahaha.  

we are dog sitting this weekend and taking lots of nice long walks. the weather here is gorgeous, 80s and sunny.

lou's next photo shoot is tuesday.  i will try and get the ultrasound pics up by the end of the day.

18 weeks

On Monday we thought we were going to watch the last period of the Stanley Cup Final where the REd Wings beat Pittsburgh- we had no idea there'd be 3 OT and then a RW loss!  The night turned out great however, as Ryan felt Lou kicking for the first time!!  Incidentally, the last time I for sure felt kicks was at the A's game last Wednesday- I think this baby is a sports fan :)

The 20 wk ultrasound is on June 17th and our next appt with the doctor is June 12th, maybe we'll get to listen to the heartbeat again.
